Foton has experienced exponential growth since it was founded in 1996. It has been the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in terms of sales since 2009, and the top Chinese manufacturer of commercial vehicles since 2003.
Foton products are exported to more than 125 countries world-wide, where a fast-growing service network provides first-class sales and technical assistance to customers.
Production lines have been established in 5 countries, while 10 additional lines are currently under construction.
Foton was established in 1996 with its headquarters in Changping District of Beijing. It is a state-owned company, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Foton’s sales reached 693,000 units in 2010. It has been the biggest commercial vehicle manufacturer in China since 2003, and the world’s biggest commercial vehicle manufacturer since 2009.
The Foton brand ranks #34 in China, with a value of CNY34 billion.
